Marsh Broker Tracey Cole Recognized as a 2021 Renewable Energy Power Broker
Tracey Cole, Senior Vice President, Marsh
There is no problem, no matter how small, that Tracey Cole won’t solve for her clients.
“Tracey is the best insurance broker I have dealt with in my two decades in finance,” said a company executive.
Cole and her team at Marsh helped this client underwrite several projects that were either under construction or in operation.
“She and her team took extra time and effort to guide us to present to underwriters, especially how our projects work, including the technical details and safety aspects. After all that, Tracey [worked] relentlessly and helped us secure $140 million in debt financing to help construct these projects,” the client said.
Another client has four projects in a region of North America with high exposure to natural catastrophe.
“Until this year, renewal with our primary carrier was simple,” said one company executive. “Suddenly we found a new set of rules. Our primary set a new limit of just 45% of last year’s.”
“Tracey put in marathon work,” the executive continued.
“She was able to put together a syndicate to take our other 55%. It was extremely complex even within the following carriers. Some would take the first few million, then would only be slotted in later. Others would only take small percentages. She would push, push, push. A carrier would offer to take 5% and she would push them to 6.25%. In the middle, she had to secure a short extension from the primary.”
