Marsh Broker Stefanie Pearl Recognized as a 2021 Finance Power Broker
Stefanie Pearl, Senior Vice President, Marsh
Knowing a market well takes time and a singular focus, but it pays dividends when companies have a difficult risk to place or a complex need.
One of Stefanie Pearl’s clients — the vice president of a national bank — ran into such a scenario over the past year when her company entered into a merger of equals, necessitating the cancelation and restructuring of the professional lines program.
“We needed to build out higher layers of coverage. Stefanie has developed great relationships with the underwriters in the financial lines industry and immediately knew how to restructure our towers to accommodate our business needs, at the same time leveraging new markets at the appropriate attachment points,” the VP said.
“Her knowledge in professional lines insurance goes well above and beyond that of other brokers I have worked with in the past. She knows each market and the amount of capacity they have along with desired attachment points. She understands each primary market’s manuscripted policy and whether those policies would serve our program.”
Pearl devotes the same attention to understanding her clients’ unique needs, ensuring that when she goes to market she already knows which carriers will be a good match and what type of structure will work best.
“She spends a lot of time getting to know the intricacies of our business. I view her as a real partner and a key resource for us,” one risk manager said.
