AssuredPartners Broker Steve Crawford Recognized as a 2025 Education Power Broker
Steve Crawford, Senior Executive Vice President, AssuredPartners
Steve Crawford grew up in his family’s insurance brokerage before it was acquired by AssuredPartners, providing him with more than 30 years of insurance experience that benefits educational institutions throughout Kentucky.
Seeing districts faced with daunting insurance premiums in their property and casualty programs, Crawford mobilized a creative and knowledgeable group of education experts within AssuredPartners to create the Kentucky Property and Casualty Pool from the ground up. This has enabled 26 school districts from across the state to save nearly 40% on their insurance rates.
Crawford’s efforts to relieve the financial burdens of school districts is appreciated by educators like Henry Webb, superintendent of Kenton County School District.
“The pool program has saved our district and many districts throughout Kentucky a lot of money,” Webb said. “He initiated that and got it off the ground.”
Mike Borchers, retired superintendent of Ludlow Independent Schools, noted that Crawford worked for more than two years to establish the program. He called Crawford “a relationship builder who is very detail oriented. He looks at all options and makes sure that all possibilities have been explored before he ever presents a solution.”
Crawford makes a point to be involved in his community in Northern Kentucky by volunteering and serving on boards.
