Aon Broker Jeff Lee Recognized as a 2024 Traditional Energy Power Broker
Jeff Lee, Vice President, Aon
Clients have lauded Jeff Lee’s ability to hold the line on costs. In previous years, many insureds sought premium reductions
because of economic struggles. In 2023, growth returned to many sectors, presenting new challenges for brokers.
As if those changes were not complicated enough, one carrier reduced capacity and increased rates on two layers of a client’s tower a week before inception. “Jeff was able to hold our renewals flat even though we increased both our revenue and our payroll,” said the company’s risk manager.
“He also restructured our deductible. Overall this year, he was able to save us a good amount on our premium relative to our total cost of risk. That was especially true on our liability and excess lines.”
For another client, he helped restructure their program to the tune of major premium reductions and broader coverage, including a 14% premium reduction on the primary casualty and excess liability insurance program, and a restructuring of the pollution liability program.
“Jeff was instrumental in helping us obtain great results in several areas in 2023,” the director of risk management for the client said. “Overall, Jeff has done a very good job for us and has successfully demonstrated his insurance program knowledge and insurance broking skills … Due to Jeff’s efforts, we have a better and more cost-effective casualty insurance program.”
