With wars raging in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, transit coverage has become a sticky business. When carriers were starting to cancel war and strikes, riots, and civil commotions coverage due to the escalating conflicts in the Red Sea, James Peachey stepped up to advocate for his clients.
“James kept us abreast of every development so our global trade compliance, logistics, and customer service teams could start changing international commercial terms on relevant shipments before the cancellation from our carrier came in the first quarter of 2024,” a client said.
“Because we were able to negotiate changes in shipping terms with our customers beforehand, no shipments were delayed. That was a crucial accomplishment.”
After the cancellations were in effect, for those shipments that were questionable about whether they fell into the exclusion zone, “James responded immediately, including options for additional coverage if the shipment did have to go through the excluded area,” the client said.
Peachey has also negotiated coverage deals for them, too. “After being with one cargo carrier for many years, James guided us to a new carrier with enhanced coverage at a premium that was 6% below budget,” the client said. “He even managed to get coverage for one of our very expensive specialized products at no additional premium.”
