Aon Broker Chris Hubbard Recognized as a 2023 Retail Power Broker
Chris Hubbard, Director, Aon
Ace isn’t just the place with the helpful hardware folks; it’s also the place where relationships matter, and doing business means bringing in partners who understand Ace Hardware’s mission. Broker Chris Hubbard is one such partner.
“Chris got to know Ace Hardware at a corporate level. He did the research and learned who the retailers were and understood Ace before he went out to the carriers,” said Michael Chmielewski, corporate risk and insurance manager, Ace Hardware Corporation.
This was important to Ace, because the team decided that 2022 was the year they would take their primary casualty program to market for the first time in nearly a decade.
Because of Hubbard, Ace was able to approach the market with confidence. The broker brought several carrier experts to the table and achieved significant price savings for his client while also solidifying its relationship with the casualty carrier — something this relationship-driven client was thrilled about.
And though Hubbard was in it for the long haul with Ace, other clients also see him as an asset when he’s needed to jump right into action. One retail client was facing a last-minute change during its casualty renewal.
“Chris was instrumental in making sure the insurance companies knew of the impending sale and making sure our company received the best deal possible,” the client said. “He provided us with many options that suited our needs.”
