Aon Broker Avery Hourihan Recognized as a 2025 Fine Arts Power Broker
Avery Hourihan, Assistant Vice President, Aon/Huntington T. Block
Museums, private collectors and people representing artists all praised broker Avery Hourihan.
Whether it’s insuring a multimillion dollar, 72-piece exhibition in a medieval palace in Italy or helping a family in the wake of a private collector’s death, Hourihan shows up, armed with compassion for her clients and insurance expertise.
“She’s been innovative, she’s been very service-oriented, and she’s been very helpful,” a client said.
One client had a number of works that were being appraised — but they needed to insure them in the meantime. Insurers also had concerns about how the art was being stored during the appraisal process.
“She was very empathetic, very respectful, and really took her time with me to make sure that I understood what needed to happen, and she did everything she could to make it happen,” a client said. “She’s a wonderful combination of clear intelligence capability mixed with a real appreciation of fine arts.”
Another client was just learning how to manage an extensive collection of privately held artworks. Hourihan was there to help her navigate the process. She even worked on Christmas to help provide her client guidance. She has a clear understanding of every facet of the art business.
“She was on top of everything,” a client said. “This is the best insurance experience I had, and I don’t mind paying when you’re working with someone who really understands the issues and really is looking hard to get your coverage.”
