Marsh U.S. and Canada Names New President

Marsh recently announced the appointment of Pat Donnelly, currently head of Marsh Specialty for Marsh U.S. and Canada, as president of Marsh U.S. and Canada, effective January 1, 2022.

Donnelly will succeed Martin South, who has been appointed president and CEO of Marsh and vice chair of Marsh McLennan effective on the same date.

In his new role, Donnelly will join Marsh’s executive committee and oversee Marsh’s insurance brokerage and risk advisory businesses across the U.S. and Canada, according to a press release.

Donnelly brings over 20 years of experience to the post and has served in his current role at Marsh Specialty since 2019 when JLT was acquired by Marsh McLennan. Previously, he was CEO of JLT Specialty U.S. and held executive leadership positions at Aon Risk Solutions.

Commenting on the announcement, South said, “Pat’s experience and leadership will help Marsh U.S. and Canada continue to achieve its business goals, meet clients’ challenges in the years ahead, and offer enhanced opportunities for our colleagues.”

Term Begins for New President of the Casualty Actuarial Society

Katherine H. Antonello, FCAS, and president and chief executive officer of small business insurance specialist, EMPLOYERS, recently began her term as president of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).

In her new role, Antonello will lend her leadership as well as insurance industry and actuarial expertise to support CAS in its efforts “to educate and empower members to apply analytics to solve insurance and risk management problems,” a press release said.

Antonello was appointed to the CAS presidency after having served the organization for many years.

Previously, she volunteered on the organization’s Risk Management Committee and Member Advisory Panel. Since 2017, she has served on the CAS board of directors. She is also a past president of CAS regional affiliate, Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast.

“I am honored by the opportunity to serve as president of the Casualty Actuarial Society and to help further advance the Society’s mission and the actuarial profession,” Antonello said.

“I look forward to working with the CAS to further empower members to make well-informed strategic, financial and operational decisions that contribute to the well-being of their organizations and society as a whole.”

Anderson Kill Appoints New Executive Committee Member

Anderson Kill recently welcomed Diana Shafter Gliedman, a senior shareholder in the firm’s New York office and member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Group, to the firm’s executive committee. Shafter Gliedman is a 21-year veteran of the firm, according to a recent press release.

Shafter Gliedman is co-chair of Anderson Kill’s hospitality and retail industry practice group and as well as the chair of Anderson Kill’s professional liability insurance group.

She also currently serves as the inaugural co-chair of a new committee of the New York State Bar Association’s dispute resolution section, focused on arbitration and mediation of insurance coverage disputes.

Since 2017, she has been a fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel, an organization composed of preeminent coverage counsel in the U.S. and Canada, as noted in the press release.

Having published and presented extensively on legal insurance topics, she has been recognized as a leading insurance recovery attorney by The Legal 500 and Super Lawyers.

PCF Insurance Services Welcomes Senior Marketing Communications Leadership

PCF Insurance Services (PCF) recently hired Colleen O’Hara to serve as vice president of marketing and communications. Charles Banyai is now vice president of regional operations and Lori Marino has taken the mantle of vice president, regional growth leader.

Marino has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial space and previously held several executive positions at global insurance carriers and start-up ventures.

Gallagher Appoints New National Director in Its Public Sector & K-12 Education Practice

Gallagher recently announced the appointment of Chris Connelly as national director, state governments – a special segment of Gallagher’s public sector and K-12 education practice for its U.S. retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Connelly will direct a newly formed sales group and lead a “diverse, nationwide team that will bring the entire range of Gallagher’s insurance and risk management solutions to meet the specific needs of state governments,” according to a press release.

Connelly’s expertise in utilizing unique risk financing structures, including the use of reinsurance and capital market structures, will bring exceptional solutions to state government challenges, per a press release.

For the past 12 years, Connelly has managed state government clients and recently served as an advisory board member for the State Risk Management Association.

NFP Welcomes New Leader of Global Communications

NFP recently welcomed Josh Wozman to the company as senior vice president, public relations and communications. Wozman is responsible for helping to grow NFP’s global communications infrastructure as the firm expands across North America and Europe, according to a press release.

Wozman brings more than 20 years of marketing, communications, and public relations experience to his new role. Before joining NFP, Wozman served as director, head of North America public relations at Willis Towers Watson.

He also held a variety of communications roles for Burson-Marsteller, The PMI Group, Inc., Shinoff Group, and the Consulate General of Israel.

IMA Financial Group Hires National Practice Director, Private Equity and M&A

IMA Financial Group, has hired Jordyn Arons Rosen to serve as its national practice director, private equity and M&A.

Operating out of the firm’s Dallas office, Arons Rosen will be responsible for “design, placement and financial institution support for mergers and acquisitions within IMA’s roster of clients across all industry types,” according to a press release.
