EigenRisk, Inc. Appoints New Chief Commercial Officer

EigenRisk, Inc. recently appointed Henry Allen as chief commercial officer to lead global sales, account management and help drive growth strategy, according to a press release.

Allen brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to his new role. He joins EigenRisk from insurtech, Gobsmack Limited, where he was CEO since 2016.

His industry tenure also includes several senior leadership roles including president, multi-national business for Marsh Inc.

Before his time at Marsh, he served in various management and functional roles with GE Capital and 3i. He also was a senior leader at Aurora Consulting LLC and CEO of The Receivables Exchange.

Allen was also among EigenRisk’s initial advisors, helping guide the company’s launch in 2014.

Risk Strategies Names National Education Practice Leader

Risk Strategies recently announced the appointment of Terry Lyons to national education practice leader. In this role, Lyons will develop and lead the overall national growth and client service strategy for the organization’s education industry practice.

Lyons has served as the head of the company’s education industry student health practice since he joined Risk Strategies in 2019 as part of the company’s acquisition of Academic HealthPlans.

He will remain head of that practice while taking on overall responsibility for Risk Strategies’ education practice and solutions across property & casualty, student health and employee benefits, according to a press release.

“I am very confident in Terry and his team’s ability to meet educational clients’ unique and rapidly evolving needs while continuing to scale our business,” said John Greenbaum, national practice leader, employee benefits and benefits specialty group.

“He is well respected in the industry with relationships and deep experience working with educational institutions.”

Lyons founded Academic HealthPlans (AHP) in 1998, a student health insurance consultancy and technology-driven program administrator.

Berkley Design Professional Welcomes New Assistant Vice President, Senior Underwriter

Rhonda Navarrete joined Berkley Design Professional, a division of Berkley Alliance Managers, a Berkley Company as an assistant vice president, senior underwriter.

According to a press release, she is responsible for underwriting primary and excess business within the retail architects & engineers insurance community, building strong broker relationships and achieving profitable growth for Berkley Design Professional’s architects & engineers professional liability portfolio.

Navarrete brings more than 20 years of experience underwriting architects & engineers professional liability insurance to her new role. She holds the designations of Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Lawrence G. Moonan, executive vice president at Berkley Design Professional said, “Rhonda’s extensive experience with the design community, professional liability lines and our network of specialty insurance brokers will serve us well.”

He also acknowledged Navarrete for being “a seasoned veteran who understands our culture and the urgency we have around serving the needs of our brokers and policyholders.”

Arturo Hires Chief Marketing Officer

Arturo, recently announced that Anita Tulsiani joined the company in the newly created role of chief marketing officer.

Tulsiani will be responsible for “building a world class marketing organization, with an emphasis on digital marketing, omni-channel excellence, and bolstering Arturo’s value proposition,” per a press release.

“As Arturo continues its journey to further penetrate the insurance vertical and expand into reinsurance, lending, securities, and beyond, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome a transformative marketing leader to help guide this expansion,” said John-Isaac Clark, CEO of Arturo.

“Between her domain expertise in insurance and her strong sense of marketing strategy, Anita will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our company.”

Previously, Tulsiani was vice president of marketing for eXp Realty. Her experience also includes senior leadership in marketing at CoreLogic, where she supported the insurance, real estate, rental property, and geospatial solutions verticals.

Global Risk Solutions Expands Its International Team

Global Risk Solutions, Inc. (GRS) hired three senior claims professionals to join its complex claims solutions business unit.

Reubin Iqbal was named head of GRS International’s UK and international construction division. Scott Smith joined as operations director.

Before joining GRS in London, Iqbal and Scott Smith worked at a global claims company. Iqbal was head of construction, London market, in the company’s international construction & engineering division. Scott Smith served as operations director, international construction.

Chartered loss adjuster, Mark Smith, joined GRS International in Dubai and will focus on GRS’ Middle East operations as technical director.

Before joining GRS, “he owned and operated a leading regional firm and built a reputation as one of the most experienced and expert chartered loss adjusters in the Middle East”, according to a press release.

Adam Humphrey, chief executive officer of GRS International Ltd., based in London, said: “The arrival of Reubin and Scott will significantly enhance our construction capabilities. They bring significant expertise that strengthens our client offering.”
