Risk Placement Services Appoints Chicago Area President

Kevin Doyle, Chicago area president, property & casualty brokerage, RPS

Risk Placement Services, Inc. (RPS) has promoted Kevin Doyle to Chicago area president, property & casualty brokerage.

In this role, Doyle will be responsible for leading and managing RPS’ property, casualty, workers’ compensation and boiler & machinery/inland marine brokerage practices.

Through his promotion, Doyle will continue to serve in his previous role as vice president of the Western region.

He joined RPS in 2018 and prior to that spent 10 years at Artex Risk Solutions where he served as senior vice president.

EPIC Insurance Names Chief Marketing Officer

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants recently announced the appointment of Sapana Nanuwa as chief marketing officer.

In this role, Nanuwa will “lead the company’s marketing programs, brand recognition, public relations activity and corporate communication in support of the company’s strategic plan,” a press release announcing the hire said.

“We have grown exponentially in the past couple of years, and Sapana’s experience will greatly help us continue to drive and manage this growth,” said Steve Denton, CEO of EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants.

“Her global background in developing brand strategies, enabling effective sales, and driving purposeful communications will help EPIC further unlock the full potential of our brand.”

Resilience Hires Addition to Underwriting Team

Resilience Cyber Insurance Solutions announced the hiring of Kristin Camme to its underwriting team.

Camme brings an extensive background in the cyber market to her new role with Resilience.

Prior to her appointment, she worked for Beazley as a cyber, technology E&O and professional liability underwriter. Prior to that, she served as a senior underwriter on the cyber and technology E&O team for Chubb.

“The response we’re getting to our model — transforming the way companies think about their cyber risk management — not as insurance and security separately, but working together, is reflected in our constant momentum of adding outstanding talent to our team. Markel Corporation Announces Appointment of New President

Markel Corporation announced the promotion of Simon Wilson as president of Markel International, a subsidiary of Markel Corporation.

Wilson enters this role at Markel with almost 20 years of international insurance experience.

He first joined Markel in 2010 and currently serves as the managing executive of global strategy. Prior to joining Markel, he worked to lead Lloyd’s Asia platform.

President and chief operating officer of insurance operations Robert Cox said, “I’m confident that Simon will leverage Markel’s foundation to successfully lead our international operations in achieving our profitable growth goals.”

Aon Brings on Two Hires to M&A and Transaction Solutions Practice

Aon recently announced the hiring of Matt Unterlack and Ben Gerber to its representations and warranties insurance and tax insurance practices, which are part of its M&A and transaction solutions group.

Unterlack brings an extensive insurance background to his new role with Aon.

Prior to his appointment, he served as vice president and the executive director of indemnification solutions for SRS Acquiom.

Prior to his appointment, Gerber worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as both vice president and senior tax associate.
