One Call Names Thomas Warsop Chief Executive Officer

One Call, provider of specialized health care solutions for the workers’ compensation industry, announced the appointment of Thomas Warsop, chief executive officer.  Warsop succeeds Rone Baldwin who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Warsop’s experience is in managed care solutions, insurance and financial services.  Most recently, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of York Risk Services Group.

Munich Re Adds a Head of Global Brand Operations and Head of Global Business Communication

Munich Re, provider of reinsurance, primary insurance and risk solutions, announced two major appointments. They are Daniel C. Cenzano, the head of global business communications and Stephanie Weiler, head of global brand and operations. Cenzano will be based in Princeton, N.J., and Weiler will be based in Minneapolis, Minn. They will both report to Andreas Lampersbach, head of group communications, who is based in Munich, Germany.

“We are excited to have Daniel join us and for Stephanie to begin her new leadership role,” said Lampersbach. “Daniel brings a wealth of marketing and communications experience, while Stephanie’s previous strategic responsibilities will be an asset to her in this new global role. With their industry expertise and track record of bringing people together to help the company meet its global goals, we look forward to a strong contribution from both of these leaders.”

Cenzano has 13 years of experience at a global insurance company, most recently serving as chief marketing officer. He held a variety of roles in underwriting, finance and marketing within the organization.

Weiler has been with Munich Re since 2006, most recently serving as senior vice president, health and reinsurance runoff. She also held additional leadership responsibilities in Munich Re’s Health Division as senior vice president and head of marketing & communications from 2014 to 2017 and senior management consultant from 2010 to 2014.

“The addition of Daniel and Stephanie to our global communications team will help generate long-term growth and success for Munich Re. We have ambitious goals and with the leadership we have in place, we can continue to build on the previous decade’s success,” said Lampersbach.

Gallagher Bassett Appoints a New CEO, North America

Gallagher Bassett, provider of risk and claims management services, promoted Mike Hessling to the role of chief executive officer, North America. He will report to Global Chief Executive Officer Scott Hudson.

“Mike has been a leader with GB for over seven years and has a tremendous track record as North America Chief Client Officer, leading our sales and account management teams,” Hudson said. “He has also been a driving force behind the building of our industry-leading analytics team. Mike’s knowledge of the North America market, proven ability to work across all functions, and passion for GB’s culture and team, makes him the perfect person to lead our North America business.”

Newfront Insurance Names Jonathan Young General Counsel

Newfront Insurance announced that Jonathan Young joined its team as General Counsel.

Young will oversee legal and compliance issues in all company departments. He will assist clients on claims issues and legal counsel regarding insurance coverage.

Prior to joining Newfront, Young ran his own practice and specialized in insurance law.

Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Harleysville Insurance, where he led a legal department with a workforce of over 600. He also served as a US Department of Justice trial attorney.

“I’ve established extensive relationships within the insurance industry throughout my career,” said Young. “I’m looking forward to serving as an expert resource to Newfront clients concerning the legal challenges they may encounter.”

Spike Lipkin, co-founder and chief executive officer at Newfront said: “Jonathan left an established practice to join our team, and we’re honored to have him on board.”

Europ Assistance Names Virginie Babinet Chief Transformation Officer

Europ Assistance, a provider of medical coverage for international travelers, announced the appointment of Virginie Babinet, chief transformation officer. She has experience leading diverse programs in multiple European countries.

She will report directly to the group chief executive officer, Antoine Parisi and will be responsible for delivering a more efficient experience for clients and integrating new entities.

Babinet will oversee the operations department, the Group Quality of Service, NPS and data strategy & the Group’s business strategy.

Parisi commented: “Virginie’s extensive experience in data, operations, IT and multi-country management will add tremendous value to our team. Her success in leading international projects will ensure that Europ Assistance continues and enhances its position as a customer centric, digital, data driven company.”

Babinet spent 25 years at AXA, serving in various positions.
