HOMELINK Welcomes National Account Executive to Sales Team

HOMELINK recently hired Joan Dvornik to serve as a national account executive on its sales team. For more than 25 years, Dvornik has worked in the workers’ compensation space.

Her previous experience includes service as an account manager and business development director for case management, physical therapy, durable medical equipment, and foreign voluntary workers’ compensation services.

Lockton Financial Services Hires New Cyber Practice Leaders for the Pacific Region

Lockton Financial Services (LFS) assembled a new team to help lead its Pacific series cyber practice.

Elissa Doroff and Akhil Chopra were recently hired to provide strategic guidance and expert solutions to improve the cyber resiliency and manage the cyber risks of LFS clients.

“While our cyber practice has enjoyed an excellent reputation and strong presence on the West Coast for a number of years, the addition of Elissa and Akhil will continue to raise the bar in terms of expertise, resources and service excellence,” said Reid Eanes, managing director and co-practice leader at LFS.

“Their technical acumen, industry expertise and thought leadership, which spans more than 35 years collectively, will bring immeasurable value to our clients as they lead our cyber team,” Eanes added.

Doroff has held executive positions at several national and global insurance brokerages and carriers over the past 15 years. Most recently, she was managing director and cyber technical leader for NFP’s management and professional lines.

In her new role as managing director and cyber product leader at LFS, Doroff will be focused on “driving product innovation and thought leadership for cyber, tech E&O, and media liability,” according to a press release.

Chopra is an industry veteran bringing over 20 years of cyber industry experience to his new role at LFS as managing director and cyber growth leader. Before joining the LFS team, he was managing director and head of cyber brokerage for NFP. His previous experience includes corporate cyber practice leadership at Marsh as well.

Chopra will be responsible for overseeing cyber product growth, innovative technology solutions and group purchasing strategies for the private equity industry, as well as “broader initiatives to bring operational efficiency to purchasing cyber insurance,” per the press release.

Verisk Promotes Cyber Solutions Vice President and Industry Liaison Elected to Actuarial Society Board

Verisk has promoted Bethany Vohlers to lead its cyber business as vice president of Verisk Cyber Solutions.

In this role, Vohlers will be oversee the strategic and operational direction of Verisk Cyber Solutions including “the Verisk cyber models and analytics that support underwriting, portfolio aggregation, and risk transfer use cases,” according to a press release.

Vohlers is recognized for having extensive experience in cyber risk quantification and modeling. For more than eight years, she has worked in cybersecurity and related risk management fields.

Before joining Verisk, Vohlers served in enterprise risk management (ERM) roles “delivering capital and solvency frameworks for insurers and top-tier financial institutions worldwide,” as noted in the press release.

In addition, Verisk’s industry liaison, Kathy Olcese, FCAS, was recently elected to the Casualty Actuarial Society’s board of directors.

Olcese has been an active contributor to the actuarial profession since achieving her CAS Fellowship in 1993. She has served on numerous CAS committees, including the examination and general business skills education committees.

At Verisk, Olcese works to establish and strengthen relationships with customers that are executive-level actuaries.

EPIC Further Expands West Region with New Hire

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants recently hired Jonathan Wheat to serve as principal within its West region risk management team.

In his new role, Wheat will be responsible for new business development and the design, placement, and management of risk management insurance programs. He will also provide solutions for middle market and large clients.

Wheat joins EPIC from American International Group where he served as a large casualty underwriter specializing in large loss, sensitive and complex casualty programs. &
