Danielle Lisenbey Promoted to co-CEO of MedRisk

Effective March 1, Danielle Lisenbey has stepped into the role of co-CEO of MedRisk. Lisenbey is tasked with providing daily leadership while co-CEO Ken Martino concentrates on long-term growth strategies and integration.

“Danielle and I work as a team,” Martino said. “She already oversees the company’s operations and explores strategic growth opportunities, essentially serving as co-CEO. It’s time she had the title and recognition.”

Since joining MedRisk in late 2020, Lisenbey has positioned the company for further growth. Part of this involved restructuring information technology to create more traction for IT development of customer solutions that harness business intelligence and artificial intelligence.

She enters the role after serving as MedRisk’s president.

“Danielle is a dynamic leader who is committed to attracting and keeping smart, experienced employees. We are pleased to name her co-CEO alongside Ken,” said Mike Ryan, executive chairman of MedRisk and its board of directors. 

Munich Re Specialty Insurance Appoints President of E&S Lines

Munich Re Specialty Insurance (MRSI) has selected Sabrina Hart as the president of its excess and surplus lines business.

Based in Atlanta and reporting to MRSI president and CEO Michael Kerner, Hart is charged with expanding E&S specialty product offerings, particularly in the U.S. middle markets.

Additionally, she is responsible for executing the overall underwriting strategy, product and program development and further building of MSRI’s team for the E&S business.

“Sabrina’s demonstrated industry experience, strong underwiring acumen, collaborative approach and proven leadership combine to make her distinctly qualified for this critical role within MRSI,” said Kerner. “I have had the pleasure of working with Sabrina throughout her career and have tremendous confidence in her ability to lead our E&S business moving forward.”

“I am excited to be working with an extremely talented group of underwriters within our E&S business,” said Hart, who was also appointed to MRSI’s executive leadership team.

Hart brings more than three decades of underwriting experience to MRSI.

Gabe Cossio Joins CLARA Analytics as VP of Sales

CLARA Analytics (“CLARA”), an artificial intelligence (AI) technology provider for the commercial insurance industry, announced the selection of Gabe Cossio as its vice president of sales.

Cossio will play a lead role in executing CLARA’s growth strategy as the organization scales up to meet mounting demand. He will report to CLARA CEO Heather H. Wilson.

Cossio joins the company after a successful tenure at Duck Creek Technologies, where he ranked as the #1 sales executive company-wide and was responsible for closing over $140 million in SaaS and professional services revenue. His accomplishments earned him recognition as the Sales Director of the Year in 2021.

“Throughout his career, Gabe Cossio has proven that he can consistently deliver stellar results,” said Wilson. “He has a track record as a top-performer with deep expertise in Insurtech and claims management in particular. Parametrix Insurance Appoints Rick Wong as Head of Insurance

Parametrix Insurance, the provider of cloud downtime insurance, appointed Hiscox veteran Rick Wong as head of insurance.

Wong will lead the Parametrix team, focusing on broker relations and the development of the broker channel.

An insurance industry executive of 18 years, Wong has held underwriting, broker relations and leadership roles at Hiscox USA for the last 13 years.

“Parametrix is delighted to welcome Rick Wong as our head of insurance where he will lead broker channel development and manage our broker relationships, which today include more than half of the top 20 brokers globally,” said Yonatan Hatzor, Parametrix co-founder and CEO.

“Rick brings extensive knowledge and experience developing broker channels which will help him establish Parametrix as the de facto downtime insurance provider for brokers across all enterprise technologies.”

Sayata Expands Senior Management Team

Sayata, a leading marketplace for insurance brokers and carriers to easily scale their business insurance portfolios, announced the addition of two executive team members to help manage their growth.

Working out of the Tel Aviv office, Upasana Unni will oversee carrier relationships as chief commercial officer operating out of Boston.

As VP of operations, Maayan Sanderovitz Eshed will oversee all company operations including HR, legal and financial functions. Prior to joining Sayata, Eshed served as the innovation team project manager at Orbia, a consortium of companies dedicated to sustaining and improving life on Earth.

Unni will manage all carrier relationships for the company. Before coming to Sayata, she spent the last decade with McKinsey & Company, most recently as an associate partner in the Boston office. She also authored multiple articles in the McKinsey Quarterly on digital business building.

Ushur Appoints Tim Wentworth to Board of Directors

Ushur, the leader in AI-powered Customer Experience Automation™ (CXA), appointed Tim Wentworth to its board of directors.

Wentworth is the former CEO of Evernorth, the $100 billion health services organization for Cigna, where he brought together a variety of health services capabilities including care provision, pharmacy solutions and benefits management. Data and analytics were also his responsibility.

EPIC Insurance Brokers Selects Chief Growth Officer for Private Client Practice

He will provide broad direction in the high net worth/private client space regarding national strategy, new sales development and talent acquisition.

Three Executives Find Home at Applied Underwriters

Applied Underwriters Inc. has brought on three executives to further its mission in its Applied Financial Lines division.

Kim Noble has been named vice president, Thomas Owens assumes the role of vice president of errors & omissions, and Keith Dau has taken on the title of vice president.

Prior to joining Applied Financial Lines, Noble was senior vice president at Thompson Flanagan in Chicago, where she advised law firms on coverage, claims and risk management issues. She has over 25 years of professional liability experience and has managed E&O programs at OneBeacon, GE Westport and St. Paul Companies.

Owens has over three decades of experience underwriting and managing teams writing professional liability, environmental liability and contractor’s business. Prior to joining Applied Financial Lines, he managed the specialty casualty division at specialty MGA DUAL North America.

Dau enters after serving as senior managing director for Navigators Insurance, where he was responsible for private management liability lines/wholesale distribution channel. He has over 20 years of experience in professional and management liability including positions with Great American Insurance and Travelers. &
