Zurich North America Names Adam Hamm as Chief Compliance Officer
Zurich North America has appointed Adam Hamm as chief compliance officer. Hamm steps into the role following the retirement of Damian Sepanik, who served Zurich for two decades.
“Adam is an accomplished leader with a strong track record in regulatory and enterprise-level compliance oversight,” said Zurich North America CEO Kristof Terryn. “Throughout his career, he has consistently helped companies navigate complex regulatory environments while fostering a culture of policy adherence.”
Hamm joins Zurich from Allianz Commercial North America, where he served as chief compliance officer and led governance and control functions across anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, data privacy, ethics, and regulatory change management. He previously held senior leadership roles at global consulting firm Protiviti and served as North Dakota insurance commissioner, bringing a blend of public and private sector experience to his new post.
In his new role, Hamm will oversee Zurich North America’s compliance function, supporting adherence to legal and regulatory standards, and advising the board and senior leadership. He will also join the Group Compliance Executive Team and report directly to Zurich Group Chief Compliance Officer Anne Jaeger. &
