The workers’ compensation prescription landscape continued to be shaped by guideline-supported trends in pain management and ongoing cost impacts from specialty drugs and high dollar analgesics. Opioid utilization consistently declined across all categories, while topicals and migraine medications experienced increased costs driven by rising brand AWP and higher utilization.
