Kristen Peed Appointed as President of RIMS for 2025 Term
Kristen Peed, Head of Corporate Risk at Sequoia, has been announced as the president of RIMS, the risk management society®, for the 2025 term, effective from January 1.
“Each day risk professionals awake to a whirlwind of new and evolving risks. My priority is to help ensure that RIMS continues to deliver thought-leading insight and powerful networking opportunities,” said Peed.
Peed brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry to her new role, having served in risk management roles at CBIZ, Inc., Swagelok, and STERIS Corporation. She has also worked as a commercial lines broker focusing on professional and executive liability at BB&T and Oswald Companies. Recognized as one of Business Insurance Women to Watch in 2016, Peed holds various professional credentials including RIMS-CRMP, AIC, ACI, ARM-E, CPCU, CRM, RPLU.
Peed’s appointment coincides with RIMS’ 75th anniversary year. She has been actively involved with RIMS throughout her career, serving on its global Board of Directors since 2018 and most recently as Vice President in 2024. Her new role will see her continue to drive innovation and boost business resilience. &
