Chris Newman Appointed Chief Executive Officer of ACORD Solutions Group

The ACORD Board of Directors appointed Chris Newman as chief executive officer of ACORD Solutions Group (ASG).

“Chris’s leadership, strategic vision, and proven track record make him exceptionally well suited to guide ASG through its next chapter,” said ACORD Board Chair Robert B. Kelly.

ASG was formed in 2016 as an industry-owned extension of ACORD, the standards-setting body for the global insurance industry, to help its members develop digital solutions and services. Newman, who joined ASG in its first year, previously served as president International of ACORD.

In that role, he oversaw a significant global expansion, led the development of the ADEPT digital data exchange platform, and established the ASG Licensed Integrator Partner program, which now includes more than 60 solution providers. He also created the ACORD London Advisory Board and ACORD Global Advisory Council to align member priorities across major insurance markets.
