For one client, Katie Myczek delivered a proactive, structural reorganization of the company’s D&O insurance program, designed to reflect the company’s evolving maturity as a post-IPO company: “Rather than simply accepting the status quo, Katie conducted a deep analysis of our current exposures, budget, and risk tolerance versus our existing program architecture,” the client said. “Katie determined that our historical mix of Side A, individual director protection, versus Side ABC, corporate balance sheet protection, was no longer the optimal structure for the company.”
The creative aspect of this solution was the execution of this shift in the market. The broker utilized strategic problem solving to take insurers that were being “displaced” from the Side A program and successfully reworked those relationships, convincing them to add capacity to the ABC program instead.
“This creative maneuvering allowed us to optimize our coverage structure while simultaneously maintaining vital, long-term carrier partnerships,” they said.This solution was delivered under a highly condensed timeframe between the client’s earnings release and the renewal date.
“By proactively prepping the market with a differentiated narrative that separated the company from its past claims history and the three-year IPO window, this structural overhaul delivered market-beating results, including a 16% premium decrease on our Primary ABC and a 55% decrease on our Lead Side A,” the client said.
