Angelo Colombo Named Chief Executive Officer for Latin America and Caribbean at AIG

Angelo Colombo will join American International Group as chief executive officer for Latin America and the Caribbean, effective June 2, 2025, pending regulatory approval. Colombo will be based in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and report to Jon Hancock, executive vice president and CEO of International Commercial Insurance and Global Personal Insurance.

He brings deep insurance industry expertise and significant leadership experience to this role, which is critical to our continued growth in this important region,” Hancock said. “Angelo has an exceptional understanding of the diverse markets across Latin America and the Caribbean and the dynamic opportunities they create for our clients.”

Colombo most recently served as regional CEO of Latin America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, where he led strategic initiatives and managed operations across multiple markets. His career spans more than two decades in the insurance sector, with a focus on developing business strategies and fostering client relationships in complex, evolving regions.

In his new role, Colombo will oversee AIG’s business across Latin America and the Caribbean, working to build on the company’s momentum and strengthen relationships with distribution partners. &
